Week 5, Saturday Post-Trial - Shirasu

[Ion, bless his little heart, despite how clearly wrung out and exhausted emotionally he is, keeps checking in on all his buds. Shirasu is on the list, of course, and he greets him with the best smile he can muster under the circumstances.]

...there wasn't anything to be done about that, not without something more conclusive.

[they took the best option there was.]

What about you? Are you holding up well enough?

I'll be alright.

[The Fon Master can't afford to let himself be rattled by what's effectively turned into a battle of politics.]

It weighs heavy on me to have made such a decision...but...I stand by my reasoning, even if I'm not content with the outcome.

[wagashis]

As long as you can stand by the choice you made, it'll be all right in the end.

[it's what-ifs and second guessing that'll really eat a person, most of the time.]

Were you close to any of them?

[Ion shakes his head.]

The victims? No, not particularly. I talked to each of them somewhat rarely...Lady Reyna the most often. She was very kind.

[He's the sort of person to be affected by any loss, however minor. Empathy game dangerously strong.]

I am very close with Lord El-Melloi II, however, so...I was frightened for him. Am frightened for him.

[wagashis]

I can't say I'm terribly close to him, but-- he has helped me, before, and he's someone I would hate to lose.

[because of his gift, in part, but he's seemed smart enough in the past.]

I hope he'll be all right, but I can't help fearing for his well-being too.

[fragileprophet]

Yes, me as well. He found and healed me when I'd taken too many injuries for myself at once a few weeks ago. Without him, I'd likely be dead.

[Ion's brow furrows.]

Every conversation we had, he seemed to try and encourage me in some way or another. I know he's not without his faults, but I truly believe he's not only kind, but an important person for all of us to have around.

[And he just can't...he can't imagine that the man would kill Reyna, no matter what sort of argument they had.]

I imagine he's hurting terribly.

[wagashis]

We'd certainly be worse off if we lost him. Either of you, honestly.

[protect the healers... even if ion's gift is a little more dangerous to use.]

Be sure that you encourage him in turn, then. I don't believe I know the man well enough to offer much, but he may need it.

[fragileprophet]

[Look at who you're talking to. He immediately seems to swell with purpose at the thought of talking to his friends.]
