Week 3, Monday - Waver

Lord? My Lord?

[It's a decent hour in the morning that Ion comes knocking on Waver's door, hoping he's still here and alone instead of being his twink self in the library--he wants to be sure there's nobody around to overhear them. Whenever Waver answers, he'll be delighted to find that it doesn't seem Ion has any apparent new injuries! Hooray!]

[ luckily for ion, waver is still inside his dorm! he's mostly dressed, but the most obvious change is the fact that he's still wearing his hair up in a ponytail.

when he opens the door to ion, he blinks a couple times, before letting the door open for ion to come in. ]

Is something the matter, Ion?

Nothing urgent! Well, not exactly urgent.

[He's fine, it's fine! Ion thanks him softly as he steps inside, and waits until the door is closed.]

I was approached with a request for healing by someone on Shirasu's behalf...would you be interested in talking with him, yourself? I approached him on my own not too long ago this morning and he wasn't comfortable with my help because of the nature of his injuries. He said he'd talk to you, though--not that I said who you were!

[ waver stays silent, thinking. on one hand, he doesn't want to end up letting everyone know about his title. that said, he feels it would be too cowardly to refuse to use his gift when someone else clearly needs it.

after a moment, he nods. ]

I'd be willing. Although I hope you warned him that I would not be able to give him a perfect recovery. I don't want him to be disappointed with my work.

[fragileprophet]

...oh...

[The look on his face is pretty clear that it totally slipped his mind. He looks embarrassed.]

I meant to, but, actually, we got distracted talking about...something else.

[A beat, his mind wandering again, but then he clears his throat.]

He wasn't sure that he wanted to be rid of the scars at all, due to personal reasons, so he may decline your help regardless...but it sounds like he has many people worried about him, so I am, too! Thank you so much for being willing to help!

It's no problem. Although, considering how you turned out after healing you, I don't believe he will have to worry if he wishes to maintain his scars.

[ why would shirasu want that, waver's not too sure. he supposes that the wounds must hold some sort of symbolism. ]

No, no, thank you!

[Because he would have totally just showed up here with new scars for Waver to have to deal with if Shirasu had responded differently. In any case, Ion looks happy.]

He gave me some really good advice, so it's only right to do what I can to try and do something for him in return. And with the two of us working together, we'll be able to do a lot of good for a lot of people!
