Week 6 Catchall with Sanji

[Hi Ion's going to be roughly attached to Sanji at the hip whenever he gets the chance to be.]
concasse: (sigh↠ that's just how it is)

Good. Next, put the pan on the stove at medium-high heat. Pour a bit of olive oil so you coat the entire pan -- but not too much, you don't want oily pancakes.

[He's going to be pretty hands off for now, letting Ion struggle through the process of cooking. Best way to learn in his opinion]
concasse: (grin↠ and I approve of this message)

[Ugh Ion is precious, when is Sanji allowed to kidnap him back to One Piece world???]

Good, next the ingredients.

[... Okay so Sanji told himself he wouldn't help BUT he does decide to interject a little by walking over to a drawer and pulling out the measuring utensils -- specifically a cup, a half cup, a tablespoon, a teaspoon, and a half teaspoon]

You go grab the flour, sugar, baking powder, the milk, one egg, and some butter. Got all that?

[That... ends up making Sanji laugh]

Well, gonna have you give you marks ahead of Varian.
concasse: (huff↠ god you're exhausting)

He took everything to the counter at once.

[SIGH]

I get the temptation to rush, but not only is that shit dangerous, cooking is a process. If you rush through one step, you're likely to rush through another, and the food won't be an accurate reflection of your intent.

[Sanji it's just pancakes, chill a little.]
concasse: (grin↠ cheeky devil on the loose)

See? You got it. Keep up that attitude and you'll be a fine chef in no time.

[This is so pure, I'm crying.]

Alright, let's get the batter finished up. [He's going to list the measurements because I'm too lazy to type them out, pointing to the main bowl while he does]

Get the the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in there first. Then mix it up, make a hole in the center, and you'll pour the milk, egg and melted butter before stirring everything together.

[Anyone who suggests you don't need muscles in the kitchen is a LIAR. Stirring a bowl of ingredients is hell on the arms, but Sanji won't lift a finger to help, knowing Ion will be more satisfied with the product if he goes through all the steps himself.]

It does. And here's an easy trick to keep them all consistent -- scoop one fourth of a cup into that measuring cup, then pour it into the center of the pan.
