Week 6, Tuesday - Varian

[At some point...probably earlier in the day, since he has a sleepover planned, Varian will notice Ion looking at the jars of buttons that have been set up in the dining hall. He seems to be considering them quite carefully. He, of course, smiles and waves at Varian when he sees him, his face lighting up.]

Varian! I'm glad to see you again!

[He looks sheepish.]

I am, I know. There isn’t any better way to put it, I’m afraid. But the last thing I want is to do anything dangerous—making sure I can complete my objective without getting anyone hurt is what’s causing me to take so long to orchestrate it.

[alchemenace]

[ there's a slight frown of consideration on his face at that explanation ]

... Does your objective have anything to do with someone else's?

[fragileprophet]

[he pauses, looking a little confused.]

Not as far as I know. But...I haven’t really talked to anyone about their objectives.

[alchemenace]

[ ... hm... ]

Never mind. I'm sure you wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone, but I'll definitely put it in when you finish ... whatever it is you're doing. I'll hold onto it for you until then.

Thank you! This means a lot to me, Varian--we're friends, so of course I knew I could count on you. I might not get a chance to complete it at all, but I figure it's better to be safe.

I do--and I feel truly thankful.

[He reaches out to put one of his pale widdle hands on Varian's shoulder.]

Everything feels a bit easier knowing that I have you on my side.

[ varian laughs a bit nervously ]

Thanks. But ... I haven't really done anything to help you?

[fragileprophet]

[Ion gives a shake of his head.]

For me, friendship isn't about what you can do or have done for one another. Just being around to listen is enough. I really enjoy your company!

[alchemenace]

You do? [ wait. ] I mean, thanks, I enjoy yours too, Ion.

I'm glad!

[Overjoyed, even!]

Are you going to stop by the observatory later?

I wasn't planning on it, why?

[ guess who doesnt know about the sleepover because he's distracted by murder plans other things ]

[Anyway he literally assumes that Natsuo physically tackled anyone he didn't see so,]

Natsuo and I decided to host a slumber party there. We thought sleeping under the stars inside of the observatory would be safer than going outside...and since it's still the beginning of the week, it seemed less likely any sort of accidents might occur.

[Like, murder-y accidents.]

Oh, neat. I've never been to one of those. I mean, unless hanging out with Rudiger late at night counts, ha.

[Not counting roommates. This is a real party, and it's different!]

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there--I hope we're all able to get along and get to know each other a bit better.
