I made some coffee, I was wondering if you'd like some?

[It's probably not very good, he's still learning how to even make it.]

Aside from that, I just wanted to say hello. It feels as if it's been awhile since we've had the chance to talk.

[vigilantics]

Sure, I'd love some.

[ honestly steph has probably had so much bad coffee over the years that she would not blink. ]

But, yeah... how have you been doing?

[fragileprophet]

[Ion hands her a mug as he sits down on the stairs, putting his staff down beside him.]

Hanging in there. I'm about as worried for tomorrow as anyone else, I suppose, but seeing Sandalphon yesterday made me feel a bit more encouraged. How about you?

[vigilantics]

[ this makes her really glad she put the offering for him down. ]

Yesterday was a pretty good reminder of why we're doing this even when it feels hard.

[fragileprophet]

[You made one small bisexual and one slightly-less-small homosexual very happy, Stephanie.]

I think so, too. Whatever decisions we all make, from here on out it's important we never forget everyone counting on us.

[vigilantics]

[ she settles down next to him on the step. ]

Did you make coffee because of him?

[fragileprophet]

Yes.

[It's gross and bitter and he's super struggling to find the taste for it, but heck!]

The one thing that really seemed to make him smile was coffee.

[vigilantics]

I bullied him into making me some.

[ wow, it... feels like forever ago, when it was just a few weeks. ]

[fragileprophet]

[Ion can't help but laugh.]

Did you like it? When he made some for me the first time, I really hated it--I didn't say so, but he could tell.

[vigilantics]

Was that the first time you ever had coffee?

[ she can't really see him drinking it on his own. ]

[fragileprophet]

[He nods.]

Right. He warned me it would be bitter, but it was still much more than I expected.

[vigilantics]

You can add things like milk and sugar to it, you know. Or other flavors.

[ dump so much sugar it'll never be bitter again, ion. ]
