Week 0, Friday Post-Investigation - Akechi

How are you doing?

[It's such a simple question, but it feels so loaded coming out of his mouth after today's discovery. By now, Ion's had a chance to sit down and catch his breath and fetch his staff, but as he approaches Akechi he still looks as if he might need to slow down a little bit more.]

I'm fine. . . but shouldn't you be more worried about yourself?

Maybe...but I'm alright. It could have been much worse.

[He could...be dead. He's actually a little stunned that he isn't.]

Everyone else is already worrying about me more than enough as it is, so I'm more concerned with how everyone else is taking today's discoveries.

[considering his task, Akechi is kind of stunned he isn't, too]

Investigating homicides is nothing new for me. [detective, and all] Although it's a shame I didn't have the chance to inspect the scene.

That aside, do you even recall what happened to you last night?

[fragileprophet]

[Ion shakes his head.]

I'm afraid not. The last thing I recall was talking to my partner in our room before I fell asleep. But even falling asleep is a bit of a blur.

[his eyes narrow]

So someone came into your room and moved you in the middle of the night. . .

Did they hurt you?

[fragileprophet]

Not that I'm aware of.

[He looks at his hands and flexes his fingers.]

I'm a little sore, but I think that might just be because of where I was placed. I don't think I was hurt deliberately. I'm not altogether sure what the purpose was behind moving me at all.

To purposefully confuse us, most likely.

[to add unrelated elements to the evidence they found, and make solving the crime so much more difficult]

But why they chose you, Evans, Arellano and Di Angelo to do just that is a mystery.
