Week 1, Thursday - Stephanie

[We're just gonna assume it's closing in on Curfew and maybe Steph's chilling because walking is a bit of a pain for her right now. They haven't spoken much yet, but here he is, knocking politely on her door frame.]

Pardon the intrusion...may I come in?

[ and, unsurprisingly, she shakes her head. ]

You know I can't do that. I'll just... deal. It's not the first time I've gotten hurt, and it definitely won't be the last.

[ she inspects his wrist. it would be a lot better if they had proper disinfectant, but they'll just have to do their best with this. ]

But thank you. At least now I can give people high fives properly.

Well, I had to ask.

[He tried, nobody can criticize him, etc. Once his wrist is dried off, he raises his opposite hand for a high-five! They can actually put a bandage on this in a second, but this seems like an important moment for morale.]

[ she looks at the offered hand and grins before... high fiving! ]

[He hesitates before he repeats it, then looks down at the palm that she slapped and laughs. It was just such a simple thing, but all at once, it fills up his heart and makes him feel...happy? Should he be happy, at a time like this, when so much is wrong? As Ion calms himself back down, he starts to unroll the bandages.]

You have an infectious personality.

It usually gets called worse.

[ she still seems pleased. her smile actually brightened at ion playing along, but it's returned to its usual easiness. ]

We should try getting a proper first aid kit if we can. Cleaning it is good, but this can still get infected if we're not especially careful. [ it's the same with her injuries, but steph gets hurt enough back home that she at least can do basic care. ] You also need to air this out every now and then too.

I can't imagine anyone having anything bad to say about you.

[He's just, this way. Still, he's paying attention, and nods along to her advice.]

Thank you again. I'll make sure to do that. Maybe if we ask one of them nicely, our Hostesses will be willing yo give us something to help.

[ steph laughs a little at the first comment. plenty of people have had bad things to say about her. it's been mostly bad, if she's honest, so it makes her eyes prick a little at ion saying that. ]

We could try. It might be a little anticlimactic if we all die of infections.
