Week 2, Tuesday - Rapunzel

[Ion's been taking it easy this week, so it's already closing in on nightfall when he hears about what happened to Rapunzel. He hurries to find her--resting in her room, hopefully. Usually, he's a bit better about entering politely, but...he's worried about her, so he kind of hurries inside.]

Rapunzel! Are you alright? I heard you were hurt!

[ she's resting, for now, sitting on the edge of her bed, that golden flower petal clutched tightly in her hand!!! still!! ]

I--- Celadon. [ she catches herself, looking up. yeah this binch been crying. ]

It's alright. [ obviously... it isn't.... ]

What happened?

[He comes to sit down beside her.]

I understand if you’d rather not talk about it. But...if you wouldn’t mind showing me your injury, I was given the power of healing.

I went into the hedge maze. [ she's covered in like animal bites, yikes, but there's a hole in her side that's been bandaged. pascal seems to be guarding it, but he moves aside so ion can look at it. ]

Really? [ hm. that seems almost counter productive for what the murder ladies are going for. ] Is it... okay for you to tell me this?

Yes. Well, I don't mind. I don't like the idea of having a power like this and keeping it secret.

[He looks a little sad.]

It might paint a target on me, but I fear my constitution already makes me one. I'd rather make sure I can keep my friends from being in pain.

[Ion looks at the wound with obvious concern in his eyes, then lifts a hand--both for her sake and Pascal's.]

Is it alright? It takes a lot out of energy out of me, so I'll have to leave the smaller injuries.

[hairbrain]

Well -- I... I won't let anyone hurt you.

[ but honestly she'd do the same in her position. ]

That's fine. Please don't push yourself, Celadon.

[ push her off a cliff instead. ]

[He beams, clearly relieved that she agreed, and reaches forward to carefully place a hand over the wound. The pain ebbs immediately, fading slowly into nothing, and as it does, Ion's face grows drawn and tired.]

[ rapunzel steadies him and sits him down on the bed. ]

Are you alright?

[Ion nods, leaning on one side as he sits.]

Yes...just a little drained, that's all. I'm perfectly fine--how are you feeling? better?

Better, yes, but... [ puts a hand on his forehead. ] Are you sure? You don't look well.
